Beaverton Commuter Plaza

Beaverton, Oregon

In 2007 the City of Beaverton, Oregon completed it's the Lombard Street Commuter Plaza. The pavement selected was Evolution WalkWay APC (Architectural Pervious Concrete). City council demanded the pavement be environmentally friendly and easy to install so their own crew could install it. And it had to be attractive. Our staff trained City crews to properly install architectural pervious. They like it so much they have used our products on other projects and have plans to use it on future projects. WalkWay APC provides a hard surface pavement that cost less than unit pavers to install, that unlike unit pavers is resistant to weed growth. Maintenance is easy because you can clean it with a leaf blower, vacuum, or pressure washer.

Evolution's Architectural mixes give designers an opportunity to specify a zero runoff pavements that provide stormwater management with an attractive finish. And all our mixes are made with 100% crushed aggregate for better structural support and superior slip resistance to meet ADA standards.
